Perfect for Adult learners that need teaching and not just reveiw By luckyguy Having just begun my journey to obtain my GED at 49, I have not been in school in 30 plus years. Needless to say there are so many things that have changed that I never learned. Other GED classes and books were no help to me because they require you to have prior knowledge of mathematical concepts in order to use their books. For me Kaplan was the best for passing RLA, Science and Social studies. However the math portion was not for beginners like me, my pre-test said I scored 132 on the GED math, which means my understanding of math was at a 5th grade level. I have passed all of my other GED tests and know I'm learning math, and yes I'm actually learning. Feeling frustrated by not grasping the math in my 2015 Kaplan GED prep book I constantly searched for more youtube videos and books to teach me math concepts. I accidently saw a youtube video of a adult who said this book from McGraw-Hill was their saving grace, and explain math for adult learners. I took a chance and bought it, and I must say this is the best math teaching book for adult learners that I have come across. Other books give you a quick review of the concepts and then you start practicing them, but what if you don't understand it and are still struggling to comprehend the material. This book is the answer, It actually teaches you the math instead of just reviewing with 2 examples and leaving you on your own. If you're an adult learner who was never taught this or forgot it. This is the book for you.

It does not include a lot of practice problems, but you can get practice problems else where.
