This is all you need to study for and successfully pass the VFSDLE (unfortunately to my understanding Virginia is converting to MPJE on July 2016).I purchased this book after day 2 of going through the the summary and law that the state sends you and wasting my time trying to organize it in a cogent manner. Best decision ever made! I passed with flying colors and all I did was read this book (over and over again). Just about every question in the exam was addressed in the book. The book is concise and well written, albeit I found several typos and formatting errors immediately, and one or two sections (mainly the sections on stat/emergency boxes, and floor stocks in the different healthcare settings) I found a little vague and had to reference the law. Aside from that, the material is nicely laid out, and the authors do an excellent job of squeezing all the relevant material found in the law. In fact the last few days before the exam I got paranoid and skimmed through the summary and laws the state sends you and I cross referenced it with the book, and it was very relieving to notice that indeed every little bit of relevant information is found in the book. The book is laid out by topic, and the information is presented in question and answer format, which makes it very easy to review and learn. Being concise, it is important to note that ALL the material in the book is important, and you MUST memorize it! In fact the few questions I got wrong related to mundane material or lists which were addressed in the book which I didn't bother memorizing because "that's dumb, there is no way they will ask that", yet there it was.... Oh well. The point is going through this book is more than enough to get through the exam. *That said I am a practicing pharmacist licensed in 3 states and the Virginia exam is by far the easiest of the exams I have seen. The questions are fair and for the most part very straightforward, which is very different from the godawful MPJE which does a better job trying to trick you with vague questions and technicalities than testing you on your familiarity with the material. If you are lucky enough to avoid the MPJE before July 2016 definitely purchase this book and you will have zero problems with the VFSDLE. Even after July, this book will still be an excellent study aid for the future MPJE, but be wary that the MPJE will (I'm assuming, from experience taking other MPJE) cover material not in the book, and be a more difficult exam, so make sure you cross-reference it with the new state provided summary! Good luck!

Will still need to review the PMP and LTC topics from the booklets that the board sends out however. Can skip using the study guide from the board with just the Long book but will miss a few questions covered.
