Reading this book gave me a glimpse of what it takes to take control of your child's education. My son was a product of public school education, but I will encourage him and other family members with young kids to try to incorporate the methods of home schooling with a public education. Not all parents are able to do homeschooling, but encouraging them to assist in their child's education may be do-able on a part-time basis. Thank you for the insight!

Packed with great resources and information By Amy Flatt There were many things I did not know about home school education before I read the FAQ at the beginning of this book. The FAQ alone is packed with information and resources which are highly valuable. The meat of the book is a series of lessons which you can read and observe. If you have not taught or you just wish you could sit in and see a lesson here is your chance. At the end she shares the resources she utilizes for home school. Good information.

They were like wrap-up sessions for what the author's daughter (Akili) learned during the week. It was nice to read the learning process from the home-schooled child's perspective. Loved the FAQ section, very helpful information for anyone thinking about homeschooling. The comic strips were adorable.Would recommend this for anyone curious about homeschooling.
