Brings back vivid memories of the character and characters of typical Mogadishu neighborhoods without loosing sight of the class and clan layers of that era. The author has done a magnificent job in preserving an important part of Somali history for the next generation. A must read for anyone intetrsted in understanding Skmalia an Somalis.Abdulkareem H. Making Mogadishu Comprehensible By Nancy Hartevelt Kobrin I am an avid reader about all things Somali and I greatly enjoyed this author's profound perceptions. I hope he will consider writing more perhaps on the Somali diaspora? It would be interesting and helpful.
