About the Author Amy Rose Taylor earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Columbia University School of Nursing's Entry to Practice Program. While at Columbia, she was selected as a Josiah Macy Interprofessional Scholar in Narrative Medicine as well as a Rudin Oncology Scholar. She volunteered as a research assistant for Dr. Mary O. Mundinger on several projects while earning her bachelor's degree, and some of her work has since been published in peer-reviewed journals. As a bachelor's degree student, Amy Rose's clinical sites included New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus (OB/GYN), Mount Sinai Hospital (RICU), Nyack Hospital (Addiction/Recovery), Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York (Cardiology), and Metropolitan Hospital (ED). She regularly assists prospective students with their applications to nursing programs throughout the New York area, as well as providing assistance and guidance as they earn their degree. I would highly recommend to this to anyone considering nursing school By Steph Gold I cannot wait to tell my friends in nursing school about this book! This book helps outline perfectly all the necessary things to consider when your dream is to be a nurse. This book lays out everything to expect and consider, how to navigate entry tests, classes to take, exams and clinical. I would highly recommend to this to anyone considering nursing school, in nursing school, or nursing school graduate looking for a job. By Caprice Finally, a book that not only focuses on the logistics of a career choice but also provides witty and clever ways to cope with life, career and school. As an "early middle aged" woman looking for a life change that is both rewarding and beneficial to my family, Nursing School 101, is the perfect "go to" to answer all my questions and concerns. This book caught my eye because of her, and I immediately forwarded it on. I am so glad that this resource exists! As I've watched my friend go through the unending applications, interviews, decisions, and tests -- before she was even accepted into a school! -- I've wished for a way that I could help and support her.
