By sarah Delightful stories set in the world of Jane Austen's books - I really enjoyed both books.Both Watson Novels have really engaging heroines who I found myself emotionally connected to right away.4 Stars. Emma And Elizabeth is the story of a poor girl raised by well-off relations. Her entire world is destroyed when her uncle dies and her aunt marries a fortune-hunter and completely forgets about her niece Emma. Sent back home to the family she left as a child, Emma's goodness and kindness see her through some tough situations. The brutal realities of life are more clearly discussed and described by Ann Mychal than Jane Austen, but the charm and wit shine on both.5 stars. Brinshore is the story of Emma's grown daughter (also named Emma) and her adventures in first love, infatuation, and growing up. Most of the story takes place in the quiet seaside town of Brinshore, as Emma and her cousin and best friend blossom while enjoying a little freedom when they stay with their aunt. I thought Brinshore was a bit more delightful, the dialogue more sparkling, and the story more original, although both were wonderful.My only complaint is that I do wish some of the dialogue had more attributions - it was a little hard to follow who said what during some of the conversations, but this is a minor quibble.Highly recommended!I was lucky enough to win this book through a blog contest.
