Riveting, inspiring and educational.The human thirst for liberty and freedom can be seen on all continents. And yet it’s the fragility of this form of governance that the people must be aware of and on guard against, or risk losing it.I believe George Washington said, regarding Democracy’s limitations; it is among the biggest evils of democratic governments that the people must FEEL before they will SEE, and then they are aroused to action. That is why this form of government is so slow.

The historical accuracy of events and how Mr. Hansen tied them all together was great. His personal knowledge of the Chinese history, in particular, made those portions truly interesting to me as I had little knowledge of that time period in Chinese history. The way he weaved all the historical events and with the character threads being intertwines, it made it a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone for great entertainment with a great message.
