By Ruaidhri Mac Seamuis As I know this author personally, it will be hard to not be prejudiced about this series. The plot is well-developed, but I think she should have sent it through the proofreader one more time. The typos and grammatical errors made me wince a couple times. Once I got past those, I did enjoy the story well enough to purchase the rest of the series.

From the Author After finishing my first book, The Unplanned Homeschooler: My Disorganized Path to Homeschooling Success, I knew the next thing I wanted to do was create a homeschool planner for people like me. I hated homeschool planners. They made me anxious. I felt pressured to fill in all the blanks, and when I failed to keep up with them, I felt like I had failed. More of a journal of what you and the children do during the day. I currently only need the 4 student planner, but really like that they are available up to 6 students (exactly what I will need).

About the Author Scott C. Davis was born and raised in the heart of California. Son of a third generation firefighter and senior engineer, Davis lives with his wife, Trish, and their four children, Abigail, Adeline, Alexandria, and Charles. In his spare time, he is an avid Civil War reenactor, and member of the American Civil War Association of Northern and Central California as well as Sons of Union Veterans. He has several novels in progress, and looks forward to sharing them with everyone in the near future! My Kingdom, Your Heaven is his first publication.

An author to watch By Scottish Hunni I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.This book is one of the most unique historical fiction/fantasy novels I have ever had the privilege of reading. What starts out as a seemingly innocent story about a soldier turns into a full scale battle for the souls of the dead.Mr. Davis's first novel is certainly an enjoyable read. He is very knowledgeable about the American Civil War and manages to put a different twist on it. Definitely worth the read!

By CJ Rutherford I am so glad I was given this advance copy in exchange for an honest review.And this is honestly one of the most enjoyable and completely unique stories I've ever read. A lot of books seem to rehash the same plotlines over and over, but what Scott does is to create something fresh and new.Set in the times of the American Civil War, he brings his reenacting experience into full play. Everything is authentic and plausible. You can almost smell the blood and gun smoke. 'Is that it?' I hear you ask.No! Enter the world of angels and demons, as the battle for human souls commences. The hero of the story is an unlikely one, a being who you will come to love and respect.What results is a tale which will lift you up. I loved it. A well deserved 5 stars.
