The characters are so realistic, and I thought that those who were Christians were portrayed very well as such. The plot is extremely interesting. The book pretty much goes through Violet's late teens as she goes through many stages of struggles, steadily learning to rely on God. I definitely recommend this book!

Dear Ves is such an inspiration. She clings to the Word through her valleys, and brings those around her to faith.It is a wonderful tale about a girl learning the things which are most important. This is one of my new favorites.

The characters are believable and I found myself wanting to know what happens to them after the story ended! Learned more about WW2 and what happened in America during that period. Thanks for a good read!
