You get a look at the sort of troubles one would have coming from the past to our present, and what troubles we might have in the past. It forces the reader to look at things we take for granted through an outsiders eyes. All the while getting a glimpse into a history bellow the surface level usually covered in school, and ponders some of the troubles associated with how we think about time travel and how we think it can solve things.
