About the Author BJR's life long desire was to become a professional author; although her career goal was to become a teacher. Passionate about writing, she was often told that writing was one of her strengths. As she began to further acknowledge that oral speaking was one of her weaknesses, she began to understand that her God given manner of expression was writing. BJR began authoring stories for publication shortly after earning her Master’s Degree. It is BJR's utmost desire, as a professional Early Childhood and Primary Educator, to develop opportunities for children discover their imaginations and to once again love to read. Alongside this goal, she wants to develop resources for other educators that can be utilized in the classroom on a daily basis. Resources, which not only meet, but exceed the standards, set by administrations. She is passionate that our children receive a rigorous academic career to better prepare them to be the future leaders of our nations, yet all while delivered in a way that is appropriate for children. It allows kids to expand their creative side and see the story in their own way by drawing the illustrations. I bought my own copy and enjoyed every minute of coloring the pictures. It's great for teachers because of the teacher's guide that is included by the author. My first graders loved my version and illustrations of the story!
