Lack of editing lets down an otherwise ok story By Mock Turtle Reminiscent of Agatha Christie's 'Death on the Nile' or 'Murder on the Orient Express', there is a cast of suspects who can't get away and a whole swag of personal secrets that are revealed at the end. It is very much a run-of-the-mill, classic British murder mystery and who doesn't love those?I enjoyed the mystery and the characters, but the book desperately needs editing. It reads like a draft. There are errors (syntax, punctuation, capitalization, left out words etc.) on almost every page. I think it might be a good idea to consider engaging a professional editor/proofreader so the book doesn't receive a whole lot of unnecessarily negative ratings.I really appreciate the author's knack for inventing a story, but I couldn't give it more than 2 1/2 stars because of the glaring mistakes.

By Kathleen Charon I am a huge fan of the country house mystery so I enjoy the limited number of suspects that were possible in this series of crimes on an ocean liner. Although this was a novella, the pacing was wonderful and the characters were well drawn. It was lovely to see what had happened to the characters from A Second Chance for Murder and this was a perfect escape for the afternoon. I recommend it highly!
