It's similar to "The Sand Pebbles" by Richard McKenna. If you like Melville or Conrad, be sure to scoop this one up. Mugunghhwa is one adventure that certainly thrilled and chilled me!! Highly recommend!!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A New Classic By B.Grimm Mugunghwa: The Wreck of the "Rose of Sharon" is a solid first offering by author, Andrew T. Post. The story is well researched and the characters felt very natural with dialogue that flowed and fit the time period of the story. I enjoyed the classic feel of "Mugunghwa" and look forward to more writing from Andrew Post.
