By Gary Patella This book is pretty terrible with the layout, and nothing showing how to pronounce the words. But the biggest flaw is that it does NOT cover the basics. I went to Portugal, and using this book I did know how to say "good morning", "thank you", "no thank you", and the numbers. OK. So those basics are covered. But what's the other extremely basic question that pretty much EVERY other book for any language has? Obviously, "Where is the bathroom?" Unfortunately, this book does not include this phrase. In fact, if you go through and try to see if you can piece the question together on your own you will be disappointed, because the word for bathroom appears NO WHERE in the entire book. As a kindle book this is easy to discover, since you can search the whole book for a particular word and every section with that word appears. Type in "bathroom" and you get the message on top that says "0 results."Yet it does have the phrases "He is ugly" and "She is ugly." I have Asperger's and even I would know that saying something like that would be inappropriate. Don't get this book. It is a waste.

By Dr. Taffy Wagner I was surprised to learn the following: 1) It only had 23 letters, 2) It is a romance language and 3) It is similar to Spanish. I actually felt quite good with the latter because I have been learning Spanish over the last few months. It was nice to see some words that I recognize. When it came to how to pronounce certain words and she was talking about nasaly, that was a shocker. I'm not familiar with Portuguese language so I felt this was a step by step instruction that I can follow. The author didn't leave out information I felt I needed to know when talking as a beginner. Pronouns, adjectives, adverbs and more. Definitely worth a read!!

By Blake Pagliaro What has been made clear to me by way of this book is that what the world needs is many more Paul Deckers. Our enemy and our only hope is hidden to our minds, but not to our eyes. He and she are clearly visible in a spot located directly above and behind our bathroom sinks.Say hello to our future! But must it be this way? The greatest weapon of evil lies in the weakness in our own hearts. Why can't we handle the truth? Because it can at times require unimaginable courage. It is commonly thought that giving one's life for a good cause is the ultimate sacrifice and it is certainly a very great one; but I believe it is yet more difficult to excavate one's own inner being and come to clearly see what lies beneath the facade of our outward personalities. Of course, in reality,we all fail to one degree or another and it is here where our monster finds its opening.What happens next is known as "fingerpointing". In general, we are more intelligent than we are courageous; we understand that someone has to shoulder the responsibility of the reality at hand; and it is quite often a very ugly reality." Fingerpointing " kills three birds with one stone. First and perhaps foremost, it relieves us of many of our responsibilities as citizens.Secondly,it provides us with an exciting ego boost at the expense of our brothers and sisters by way of elevating our self esteem through an aura of self righteousness. Lastly, it has been shown in studies that to a certain point, at least, men like to fight and we are here given proper justification. The solution to our most intractable problem is indeed an embarrassment of riches---it's free,easy and provides manifold paybacks.

This book was such a great suspenseful read that did its job and gave me a good scare. In that I mean, that I already believe us to be on our way to a situation such as this anyway, and the book got me thinking even more deeply on the topic of a corrupt system in which are freedoms are taken away. I don’t think it gets much scarier than that even being a possibility!This author will engage your mind and have you thinking….hmmm….could this happen? Could this already be happening and we don’t even know it?Regardless, I love Jeffry’s work! He is a superb author who provides well written, thought provoking work in all that I have read by him. The characters are so very well developed as is the plot and story-line. If you pick up this book, be prepared to not want to put it down, and to be highly engaged and entertained the entire read!Great book, highly recommend!

Paul Decker is a master planner and freedom fighter. I haven't read any of the previous novels, but I felt like I didn't need too. The author kept me plugged into what was happening in the series. If you are looking for a new thrilling series, look no further!

Beautifully written as ever in a lovely vintage style. This time I particularly enjoyed the gleams of dry humour which kept me chuckling, and the character of Mrs Meade, the quiet, middle-aged lady detective who pulls strings behind the scenes, unmasking dangerous murderers from afar without once compromising her ladylike poise.

Nice reader but missing audio files By Amazon Customer This is a very good reader with a decent story, nice set of vocabulary and good use of the basic grammar patterns.However, it's also one of the more expensive readers. At this price point, one expects to be able to also listen to the story to practice and improve listening skills, which for most learners tends to be the major bottleneck slowing down the learning process.Reading the book with reasonable proficiency is one thing but being able to listen to each chapter read at a normal pace and understand each word and phrase immediately tends to be much more difficult and beneficial to making real progress. Therefore, I found the lack of audio files very disappointing.

By Carolyn Nixon Reuven Feuerstein's work is a treasure trove of insight and inspiration for educators world-wide. He was a man before his time, and his work is reflected in the work of many current trends of educational thought and endeavor. It would be wise for any educational researcher to delve deeply into Feuerstein's theory of Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Mediated Learning. Much of current educational research has its origins there.
